Poppy buses

To raise awareness of Remembrance Day, ten London buses and two London Underground trains have been wrapped with Poppy designs.

DN33776 (SN12 AVR) also sports the poppy design, also allocated to route 23.

This is in replacement of their original paintwork. By decorating London's transport network with these designs, Transport for London and National Rail have teamed up as part of the national Poppy Appeal to raise more than £1 million for the whole Armed Forces family.

The two trains are shared one each on the Circle and Metropolitan Line. The ten buses are: an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 from Abellio London, two Wright Gemini 2 bodied VDL DB300s from Arriva London, one Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B5L hybrid from the 12, two Alexander Dennis Enviro400s from Metroline Travel, two new Alexander Dennis Enviro400s from Stagecoach East London and two Alexander Dennis Enviro400s from Tower Transit.

10182 (SN63 JWK), an Alexander Dennis Enviro400 allocated to route 55.
10196 (SN63 JWA) also sports the poppy design, but is allocated to route 53.
Both buses began service with the poppy wrappers.

The poppy designs will remain on buses until the end of the week of Remembrance Day, so if you want to see them or get a photo do so before the weekend!
