Metropolitan Line Rail Replacement

More of a picture post, so there isn't much writing to it.

For the last week, and for the next two weeks, there will be no service on the Metropolitan Line between Uxbridge and Ruislip, due to track renewal, drainage works and station improvements. On the Piccadilly Line there is no service between Uxbridge and Rayners Lane. On weekends, however, this closure was extended on the Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park, and also to Northwood. Jacob was out covering the rail replacement buses.

Service A (ML-A):
This service ran for the Uxbridge branch, and ran as followed:

Wembley Park - Kenton - Harrow-on-the-Hill - West Harrow (The Gardens) - North Harrow - Rayners Lane - The Close (For Eastcote Stn) - Ruislip Manor - Ruislip - West Ruislip - Ickenham - Hillingdon - Uxbridge.

Metroline operated this service with vehicles from various garages, however the buses were either of the Volvo or Trident type. Willesden Junction (WJ) had major involvement on this service, as well as Holloway (HT) and Edgware (EW) who had smaller roles.

Not my best shot, but this bus VW1870 (BF60 VHT), Willesden Junction based, was lost on rail replacement on ML-A to Uxbridge. Usually buses on ML-A go via The Paddocks, Fryent Way and Kingsbury Road. However this bus followed ML-B via Preston Road instead. ©LondonBuses72

Service B:
Sullivan Buses operates this service, and also ML-A between Uxbridge and Ruislip on weekdays, and this service runs Wembley Park - Northwood calling at:

Wembley Park - Preston Road - Kenton - Northwick Park - Harrow-on-the-Hill - West Harrow (The Gardens) - North Harrow - Pinner - Northwood Hills - Northwood

All buses are South Mimms (SM) based.

Both shots below and above show ELV9 (PO54 OOF) on ML-B, in both directions to either Northwood or Wembley Park. This bus used to run routes 9 and 27 before withdrawal in early 2013. Sullivan expressed interest in the small batch of 54-reg Vykings as they had won the 626 contract.

The reason why the lines are shut is because of engineering works at Harrow-On-The Hill and anywhere along the line to Uxbridge after Eastcote.

Here are engineers with their equipment renewing the drainage and tracks at Hillingdon Station.
