I'd remember when routes N159 used to run from Marble Arch to New Addington and N11 from Liverpool Street to Wembley Central, Those routes were the first time I started bus riding at night and boy it was such an interesting experience compared to day travel. Over the years of bus travelling I would say I have a really good knowledge of the ever changing urban landscape, the vast array of nationalities that come and go, the night bus parties, and an endless list of urban life happenings and a good knowledge of the key routes that connect the outer boroughs of greater London.

As the years go on the cut backs to night buses just seem to keep rising.
What's going to happen to my beloved night buses once the 24hour tubes takes place?
If you think about it the tube can't take you as close to your home or work unlike the buses. These changes will put peoples lives at risk, making it a misery to commute and so many more problems will arise. As London is constantly growing and you got buses taking us from A to B, no matter the situation buses are the backbone of London so instead of cut backs there should be investments into new routes, bring back affordable cash fares, stop wasting tax payers money on expensive dangerous Boris-buses and have proper buses not like that ugly looking thing that's a so called 'Routemaster' (embarrassment to the original).

Cashless which was introduced in July 6th 2014 (my birthday) on London buses is just one of many things that annoys me and others about TfL's (Transport for London) policies. There comes a certain time at night where there's nowhere to top up your oyster cause the ticket stops and stations are closed, suppose you've used the emergency fare on the previous bus, lost your Oyster card or don't have enough money for a cab and there's plenty more examples. What are you meant to do?
In the real world, TfL don't have a clue on what there doing nor do they care about the safety of the public or drivers best interest. Their main concern is making that MONEY by any means.

Over the years more and more people have become homeless and started to appear sleeping on the night buses. One common route in London I often find they tend to use is the (N)25 running from Oxford Circus to Ilford doing the full length of the journey back and forth. They mainly like to use routes that are long distanced, between Sundays and Thursdays when the buses are most empty (if possible) and longer journey time to get some rest.

When the weekend comes the drunken revellers embark the night buses to get home, often to find themselves dazed and confused waking up in an unknown location where the bus is terminating. This is just one of many dramas that occur on the London night buses.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post. ©LGEEography
